“On time delivery is like beauty…. It is in the eye of the beholder” Joe Lombardo
OK, my very first blog posting and I am quoting myself, someone has to do it. Do we need a standard for On Time Deliveryso shippers, receivers, and carriers can be aligned ? When a shipper or carrier state their on time delivery is 99.9% what are the measurements? On time to the day, appointment day and time, any tolerance for being late i.e 30 minutes before or after, is it a pure measure or are their transactions not being counted for various reasons (weather, late loading, etc). I would like to hear your thoughts?
